Ever noticed how peaceful and serene donkeys look, out in the pasture, munching and meandering? I have surely thought many times, “How I’d love to be that relaxed and peaceful!”
How about you?
Well, here is a good way to find some of that peace:
Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
When we bring our true selves to God in prayer, and talk to him honestly about our worries, fears, situations, and ask him to help us resolve them, he is faithful to fill our hearts and minds with his perfect peace.
When we have faith - when we trust in God and his ability and desire to help us - he gives us peace like a donkey, happily meandering through the pasture.
Give it a try. Tell God exactly what’s on your mind and heart and ask him to give you the faith and trust in him that he will provide for you.
